Delta Air Lines (NYSE:DAL) announced on Thursday that it boarded 11,628,151 passengers in January 2010, down 4.4% compared to the same period of last year.

Revenue passenger miles for the month dropped by 5.0% compared to January 2009, while available seat miles fell by 5.6%, resulting in an 0.5% increase in load factor at 76.6%.

Cargo ton miles for January 2010 rose by 2.3% compared to the same month of last year.
