Female airport security officers are needed
Posted: February 5th, 2010

An airport is looking to recruit more than 50 new female security officers to meet the summer peak in passengers.

Stansted Airport is specifically targeting women as under Department for Transport regulations female security officers are required to search female passengers.

The airport, which currently employs more than 800 security officers, almost has a 50/50 split of male/female passengers.

The new jobs are part-time positions over a six month period, which should start around the beginning of March.
